Salvation: ﷯One day, Jesus was approached by a man and asked, “Good Master, what thing shall I do to inherit eterna llife?” Jesus’ reply was, “Why do you call me good? There is none good but God.”, then he proceeded to answer his question. If you read the account for yourself in Matthew 19:16-22, you will see that although Jesus answered him correctly based upon the old covenant, then and today, we can not make it based upon the strength of our own flesh.“Why do you call me Lord and do not do what I tell you to?”, asks Jesus in Luke 6:46. You see, we all have our own way of doing things, even when it comes to eternal life. God’s Word states that there is a way that seems right to people, but the end of it leads to death (Pro 16:25). The Bible makes it clear that Jesus is the only way to get to God (John 14:6). Here are things that you should understand:﷯ Scripture Meaning l Romans 3:10 Everyone has sinned l Acts 3:19 Repent and turn away from sin. l Romans 5:8 God loves us. l Ephesians 2:8-9 Salvation is thru God’s grace, we are not good enough to earn it. l Romans 6:23 Sin equals death. l John 3:16 God loved us enough to provide a way out of death and hell for us. l Romans 10:9-10 Confess Christ and believe on him. The next step is to pray to God for your salvation. If you are ready now, you can say this aloud or in your heart to God: Dear Lord, I come to you in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ. I am calling upon Your Name for salvation. I do believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is your Son. And that you allowed Him to die in my place, but that You raised Him from the dead for my justification. I confess Him now as my Lord and Savior, and I thank you God for saving me.
